In group classes, known as Awareness Through Movement, each student is guided through a non-strenuous movement sequence, usually done lying down. Each class is different, exploring some particular movement theme or region of the body.
You are encouraged to attend to the actual process of moving and you learn at your own rate by following your sensations of comfort and ease. By gradually increasing your awareness of how you move, you are able to expand your range of movement options and so develop greater skill, flexibility and finesse.
The classes are suitable for people of all ages and abilities. In particular they may be of benefit to those with back pain, joint stiffness or other movement limitations. They are equally useful for those who wish to learn more about themselves, or those wishing to develop existing skills in sports, music, dance or drama.
Advanced booking is essential due to limited space.
